We know Hollywood has its fair share of zombie movies and TV shows floating around but we haven’t seen a locally made one…until now.
We give you Last Ones Out, a movie made ‘in Africa, by Africans’. Here’s the synopsis courtesy of the movie’s website:
You wake up in the middle of Africa.
You are alone.
You are wounded.
You are being hunted.
You have no choice but to team up with a group of strangers to make it out alive. This character-driven road movie from breakout director Howard James Fyvie offers a fresh take on the zombie genre and leaves the audience wrestling with the big questions of life, survival and love.
Those are some big question to tackle in your début directorial feature film, young man.
Last Ones Out has been chosen to be part of the Official Delegation to the Cannes Film Festival by South Africa in May 2015, so here’s hoping it gets movie execs biting.
