Right, by now you know the back story and I don’t need to give you the extensive rundown of the accusations against Bill Cosby. Suffice to say the former funny man has more than 40, yes 40, allegations against him by various women and they don’t seem to be slowing down.
We can add more to that list as three women went public with their allegations of sexual assault in the 1970s and 80s. One of the women, Janice Baker-Kinney, tells a familiar story, reported here in TIME:
On the night of the alleged assault, Kinney, who was 24 at the time, said a friend invited her to the house for a “pizza party.” There, she says Cosby offered her two pills. “I thought it must be OK,” she said. “Bill Cosby said it was.”
She woke up later in the living room area on the couch with her jeans unzipped and her blouse opened and remembered Cosby bringing her upstairs to the bedroom.
You can figure out the rest yourself, but the assault ended with Cosby saying it was to be their little secret, finishing with a ‘shhh’ gesture.
I’m not going to run you through the other two (you can read their accounts HERE), but the mind boggles at how, in the face of all these allegations, Cosby is still conducting a national comedy tour. Protests are planned at his next show in Atlanta on May 2, and serious questions should be asked of those buying tickets and further lining this man’s pockets.
