There are few things more exciting than going to see an old friend you haven’t seen in far too long. Bags ready, Essentiale packed, now to upload that picture of the moment you’re about to jet off.
I’m sure your picture captured just how excited you were but I bet it has nothing on this absolute beaut from Archbishop Desmond Tutu, clearly over the moon as he readies himself to meet up with the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala, India.
The fun never stopped once the Archbishop touched down. In addition to being part of the early 80th birthday celebrations of the Dalai Lama, Tutu and the holy man are collaborating on a project called ‘The Book of Joy’. This from Traveller24:
People from all corners of the globe have been asked to send their questions about experiencing joy in their lives to the two sages via Facebook. They will then work together to answer them. How amazing!
One look at the pictures taken so far during the trip and it’s clear that these two men are well-versed in the art of being happy.
Wouldn’t it be lovely if the Archbishop could return the favour and play genial host to the Dalai Lama here at home? Alas, certain ‘complications’ with his visa mean that we will probably never see his Holiness bring the message of love and light where it is most needed.
