Something has to be said for sale season. Whilst, for the most part, we don’t get the magnificent sales of Boxing Day in the UK or Black Friday in the US, we still get a few little bargains in our measly selection of stores, and I must say, we are usually quite well behaved. (Except for the shoe sections… those are always a right mess.)
It’s usually a calm zone when I walk into Zara. There’s a delightful man at the door telling me I cannot bring in my flat white and lovely music playing in the background. The clothes are laid out neatly, everything looks somewhat colour co-ordinated, things practically sparkle at me, drawing me in like a moth to the proverbial flame.
Not so in this Zara store in Philadelphia, USA…
At least five women were caught on camera pulling each other’s hair, as well as yanking and slapping, before knocking clothing displays onto the floor.
And all over a few bargain sale pieces. Come on, ladies.
I think the best part: rumour has it one of the ladies climbed up onto a display table and then “jumped off screaming”. Onlookers in the store watched mesmerised (as would I) at the fiasco. Police were eventually called in but no arrests were made.
I don’t know, hey. I don’t think any item of clothing is worth that low level of behaviour.
Best we stick to Calvin Klein.
