Sad news for fans of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: Gisele Bundchen has announced her retirement from the catwalk. And fair play to her – she has been strutting her stuff for 20 years and probably does deserve the break.

The 34-year-old “Brazilian bombshell” will do her final show for Colcci on 15 April at Sao Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW), which is the same event where she started all those years ago.

Her reason for retiring?

Automatically my body tells me if what I do is worth it, and it asked to stop. I respect my body, it’s a privilege to be able to stop. I don’t see how to continue [modeling on the catwalk]… and stopping will leave room for other projects I have for myself.

But don’t worry too much. She will still model for her lingerie brand, Gisele Bundchen Intimates, and for the likes of Chanel, Under Armour, Pantene, H&M and Carolina Herrera, whose campaigns collectively popped a whopping $47 million into her bank account in 2014 alone.
