We’ve all had an embarrassing slip here and there, although most of the time we can blame a boozy dinner and the only person filming is that annoying friend in the group who insists on snapping pictures and videos of everything. You know who you are.
Well this young guard at Buckingham Palace suffered the embarrassment of a good tumble at a rather inopportune time – during the famous Changing of the Guards ceremony. Here’s the Telegraph:
The unnamed solider is thought to have slipped because of the metal protectors nailed to the soles of his boots.
Tourists gather in their thousands to watch the changing of the guard outside Buckingham Palace at 11:30am every day in the summer and every other day in the winter…
The Ministry of Defence said they would not comment on “a young man falling over while doing his job”.
Whilst many believe that the guards are merely ceremonial they are in fact fully operational soldiers. This lad, however, looks like he might be as useless as the royal family combined.
