Immediately after it came to light that Jeremy Clarkson had been involved in a brawl with a Top Gear producer the speculation started, and has quickly become one of the most talked about topics on telly: who will replace Clarkson on the BBC’s iconic show?
Well a number of names have been put forward (including Piers Morgan, what have we done to deserve that?) and it looks like one lady is sitting in pole position. Her name is Jodie Kidd, a model and former race driver. She currently hosts The Classic Car Show and is being touted by many as the front runner for the gig. Here’s the Telegraph:
“It’s going to be interesting, the next couple of months,” [she said], but remained tight lipped about rumours she could be standing in for the sacked presenter.
Kidd is no stranger to the show and even held the record for the fastest celebrity lap on Top Gear’s “Star In A Reasonably Priced Car”. She has been quizzed in the past about the possibility of her coming on board for the show, with her response as follows:
“I couldn’t join those boys. No, God no.”
Rumours of her being the front runner for the show did gather steam yesterday, leading some to believe it may be a hoax. Then again, there’s no reason this talented and beautiful woman shouldn’t be considered for the role. She’s certainly easier on the eye than that bloated buffoon Clarkson.
