This is so great. I’ve never been a real fan of Cate, but I think this is going to change my mind.

If you don’t know it yet, the new Cinderella movie is due out soon, starring Cate as the wicked stepmother. Obviously she has had to do a numerous amount of interviews, and this one with Jonathan Hyla from Channel Ten by far takes the cake.

It starts with Hyla offering Cate a beer, as to him she seems “like the type of person that we should just crack open a beer and just have a chat”. Her response?

This date is not going well, I do not drink beer.

Awks.

The conversation then drifted away from Cinderella and onto potato vodka, when Cate tries to steer it back on track:

One of us has got to do our job.

They then try to start the interview over, but it’s this question that sends Cate over the edge.

Hyla: Were you able to get that cat [in Cinderella] to do what you wanted to do on a leash? Because I try and put my girlfriend’s cat on a leash and it just never works for me.

Cate: That’s your question? That’s your question? That’s your fucking question?

If you watched till the end of the video you’ll also see that the two fail miserably at trying to high five one another.
