If we had a rand for every time we had heard some poor bastard croon over his lost love / new love / future love / love of booty we could all retire happily to an island in the Caribbean and live off a diet of coconuts and caviar.
Now I’m sure there is many a country music star out there who enjoys the odd swig of jolling juice but Eric Church has taken his love to the next level. Yeah, he’s only gone and penned a song called ‘Jack Daniels‘ about how he has formed a pretty tight bond with the honey-amber classic.
In case you doubted his commitment to the cause, Church lives in Nashville and has named his second son Tennessee, which you may recognise from every bottle of Jack Daniels found around the world.
The song has racked up over a million views on YouTube and the album ‘Chief’ went to number one on the country charts.
