Any of you townsfolk who live in the vicinity of Gardens should by now be aware of THAT shopping centre. You know, the one that everyone raves about, including our own main man, Seth (you can read his gushing review HERE). Yes guys the Gardens Shopping Centre is rather popular with the locals and has many strings to its bow.
If you can’t be arsed to click through to read Seth’s piece here is a wisdom nugget hand-selected for you:
Gardens Shopping Centre has a Vida E. It has an @home. There is a Cape Union Mart, a Clicks, a Woolies, a Pick n Pay, Pulp Kitchen and Cassis Paris. There’s RAITH’s, for goodness sake. And then, added onto that, is a smorgasbord of speciality shops that actually catapults Gardens Centre into a specialist boutique genre, usually reserved for wealthy European towns and cities.
Have you seen that authentic cheese shop upstairs, with the lady behind the counter? Wow, what is this, Cap Ferrat?
It’s pure awesome.
I’m going to hand over here to you, the readers, who left us a host of comments in response to Seth’s write-up. You said:
They’re all valid points, and we think Nina might be on to something here.
BACK TO THE POINT OF THIS STORY..
We have had number of readers ask us if we know what exactly is going on around the centre these days. Some of the leafy vegetation seems to have been done away with – are we looking at a possible name change? We’ve seen stairwells and massive sections of the centre blocked off; it’s obvious that there is something afoot.
We have been told by a little birdy that they are getting something of a cosmetic makeover with new tiles and balustrades on their way. We also believe that there are new escalators being installed where the boarding is currently located. Sounds good, do tell us more guys.
Anyone out there in the loop who can fill us in on what else we can expect at our beloved shopping centre?
