That Pretoria is a lekker place hey? You can play rugby, talk about rugby, watch rugby at Fortress Loftus and stare at the jacarandas. Well get ready to add jumping out of 27-storey buildings to that list because these local madmen have turned an abandoned block into a plaything and it looks like a pretty good time.
Jean Jacques Wallis and Andy Hunt used a few GoPros to document their race to fling themselves from a building window and plummet to the floor, although the men’s expertise ensure a happy ending. This from SApeople:
[Jean] claims the building site is “definitely not a dangerous jump…although if you don’t know what you’re doing it can become dangerous.”
Both are experienced base-jumpers and acquired permission from the building’s owner so let’s keep that in mind before we send in any user-submitted videos.
In case you’re wondering BASE stands for Building, Antenna, Span and Earth, but you knew that already you wise old owl.
