Best you start getting up on the weekends and fully appreciate that warm sun on your face – I do believe the sun rose at 06h42 today, meaning that summer is on her way out. That time is far too late. It means that when I am in the shower the sun shines over the Stellenbosch mountains and right into my bathroom. It also makes my make-up application much harder than usual. Life’s so unfair… If the sun was rising earlier like it does in the height of summer, we’d all be happy and my make-up would look less garish.
To make up for the fading summer, you should be spending as much time as possible in the sun and on the beach. Wake up in the mornings and go for a walk on the promenade. Hike up and down Lion’s Head. Go for a surf.
Once that’s all out of the way, celebrate a bit. We don’t have to tell you again that one of our favourite places to do this is at Cafe Caprice. A few of us here are known to frequent this little gem, and I for one often pop in for a quick coffee (their coffee is awesome) when entering or exiting the bay.
But why not open up your summer celebrations to your friends. Invite them along to the next #AbsolutBrunch at Cafe Caprice. You can go ahead and diarise March 28th and start your Whatsapp group today.
Have a squizz at one of the previous brunches HERE – it won’t take much more convincing than that to get you there.
