The fire rages on and each day brings more news of heartbreak around the peninsula.

Fran Collins, a Tokai resident, had her home destroyed by the fire and this picture from Demitri Nikiforos’ Twitter account (shared on News24) really does speak a thousand words.

There isn’t really much one can add to that.

News24 readers shared a few more pictures of the blaze, the pick of which can be seen below.

The latest is that the fire is largely under control after another all-nighter for those fighting the blaze. Donations are still welcome at fire stations around the peninsula and you can now leave your 250-character ‘thank you note’ HERE.
