UPDATE: IF YOU WANT THESE PIGS TO STOP CALLING YOU, I’M AFRAID IT’S MORE WORK FOR YOU BUT IT MAY WELL WORK – CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT.
I have said this many times and I still believe it to be true. Every bank can and will let you down at some stage. People who have loyalty to a particular bank are just lucky.
So today we want to chat about Standard Bank. I received three missed calls from what looked like a cellphone number. My voicemail is setup to direct callers to either SMS me or email me. But this number just kept on calling.
I was in a meeting at the time and excused myself to answer the phone, as it was surely an emergency.
But no, it was an automated message from Standard Bank, trying to sell me something. A machine..
How is this possibly legal?
So Standard Bank – my question to you, while you continue to rape the poor with your bank charges and interest rates and fool yourself into thinking you’re operating above board and within the law – please tell us how you think that these disgusting methods are acceptable?
And then, when challenged on Twitter – they simply want to deal with this one case and not deal with the overlying problem.
Here’s a newsflash, Standard Bank – everyone feels this way, I assure you. And if you think otherwise you’re lying to yourself. You know these methods are revolting and you know you shouldn’t be doing it. Legal or otherwise.
Enough is enough.
Does anyone know if and when cold calling (by human or machine) will be made illegal?
Does anyone enjoy cold calls from banks?
