Excuse us for a second whilst we don’t crack a single joke anywhere in this post.
Police are now looking for a man who raped a 51-year-old woman near the Pienaar township in Mpumalanga. The rapist used an usual modus operandi, outlined here in TimesLive:
According to the victim, she was busy working in her vegetable field not very far from a bushy area when she was approached by a man wearing a long skirt. She reported that the man complained of thirst and asked to be shown the nearest river so he could have some water…
He raped her near the river and afterwards offered her water to wash herself. After washing herself he raped her again and took her cellphone and ran on foot.
The mind really does boggle sometimes.
Police in the Mpumalanga area have warned people in Pienaar and surrounding areas to be on the lookout for a man impersonating a woman. They remain hopeful that they will make an arrest soon.
