Top Gun Fans: Enjoy These UK Jets Escorting A Russian Bomber [Video]

Now fighter jet pilots have long since been revered as the most manly of men, but anyone who has seen Top Gun probably wished at some point that they could take on the role of Maverick. Let’s make a clear distinction here – that’s the fictional character, not actually Tom Cruise. No one needs that amount of crazy in their life.

Now other than carousing women in the local pool hall and playing volleyball in very homoerotic getups, Maverick and Goose also took to the air in the movie and displayed some wicked skills. They would have been proud then of the pilots in the RAF’s Typhoon fighter jets who shepherded some unwelcome Russian guests away from the coast of Cornwall.

You can see footage shot from the RAF cockpits of the Russian bomber jets above, although you will have to add your own ‘Highway to the Danger Zone’ music over the top.
