Now we know professional wrestlers aren’t exactly the most level-headed bunch going around at the best of times but when you combine a thick Scottish accent with a plea to Madonna you have pure video gold.
Scottish wrestler Grado has been entering the ring to Madge’s old-school classic ‘Like A Prayer’ for the past two years, whipping his fans into a frenzy with his pre-match cavorting. Alas he has hit a snag in the build-up to his TNA Impact appearance, with the pop icon denying him the rights to use her track. Over to the man himself from his YouTube channel:
I want to try and reach out to her Madge herself and to let her know how much the song means to myself and the wrestling world! I never want to use any other theme music, or some dubbed shite, there is no better feeling than a big rowdy crowd going bush to this song. I want her to watch this wee video and hopefully she can tell the folk representing her to let me use it!
Enjoy the video up top in all it’s shoddy-editing glory.
