Seems we’re going through explosive times here on Planet Earth. Last week we showed you a hotel in Vegas fall, and now we are going to have our very own hotel implosion in Cape Town!
Truly, I will be standing there filming it.
The Tulip Hotel, on the corners of Strand and Bree, has long been known as a not very nice place to stay.
If one takes into account some of the reviews on TripAdvisor, it’s no wonder the place is about to vanish.
The hotel has been called “The Worst Hotel Experience Ever” by one guest, and another has this to say:
It was my worst hotel experience! Super dirty and disgusting room, broken shower (no warm water), terrible elevator, very thin wall, stains on bed sheet, and the smell in the room is just unacceptable.
Blergh.
Not surprisingly, the Tulip Hotel has been closed for some time.
The explosion will take place on Sunday, March 1st at 08h00.
Capetonians can look forward to a new hotel being built on the land.
