It looks like the cat is pretty much out the bag on this one, guys. We’ve all been thinking it since details started coming to light in the De Zalze murder saga but, as the evidence mounts, young Henri looks like he is in a world of trouble.
It is being reported that police suspect Henri was a tik addict and may attempt to get their hands on his medical records through subpoena. They are also investigating a number of motives, the most sinister of which is that the attack was in response to Henri’s parents cutting off his allowance.
One newspaper claims to have tracked down a man who dealt tik to Henri from an informal settlement in close proximity to the De Zalze estate. Times Live quotes the dealer here:
He would give me between R40 and R200 at a time. Then I would go and get his drugs from the dealer. He bought tik, and from another dealer in Jamestown he bought dagga.
You have to feel the noose is tightening and it won’t be long until the gory details come to light. In the meantime remember tik is bad kids, stick to smoking stuff that grows naturally in the ground.
