Humans come in all shapes and sizes, this we know. Why then when someone who isn’t a stick-figure gets snapped with their bits out does everyone kick up such a stink?
Photographer and mom Jade Beall has made a career out of taking pictures of women ranging from the petite to the plump, posting many of these on her Facebook page for her fans to enjoy, share and comment on. Her latest picture, featuring seven women breastfeeding their babies, set tongues wagging and some keyboard warriors went to town.
Beall forgot to blur out one of the nipples in the photo, therefore breaking Facebook’s rules, although she later fixed the error when the photo was reported. This from the Huffington Post:
Though she was pleased to see that so many of her 75,000 followers “loved” her photo, Beall also received a flood of negative comments calling it “disgusting” and several messages from people, mostly men, requesting that she remove the image.
The irony is that these men complaining are probably the ones who are servicing themselves to videos of 19-year-olds getting double-teamed on Redtube. A mate of mine saw a video on there once and told me about it.
We’ll leave the last word to Beall, who explained why this photo is one of her favourites to the Huffington Post:
I love seeing a room full of diverse bodies feeding their babies, the very bodies that made and gave life to the babies!
