Iconic Vegas Hotel Reduced To Rubble In 10 Seconds [Video]

I'm almost sure there used to be a TV show where they showed you how they demolished buildings. I used to love it.

The Clarion Casino-Hotel in Las Vegas is no more.

For the first time since 2007, a hotel has been imploded in the city of parties/roulette/lights/drive-by marriage.

The original explosion went off at 03h00, and the main part of the building toppled down happily. The elevator shaft, however, only dropped four storeys and then stood proudly amongst the dust. In the end, contractors had to use a lasso of steel cables and a crane to pull it down.

It is hoped the site will be used for a 60-storey hotel.

P.S. On looking for an image of an exploding building, I came across this question: If you had to walk away from an exploding building, what song would be playing? I was thinking Bittersweet Symphony, whilst a guy on the internet said Pocket Full of Sunshine. Kiernan chose Eye of the Tiger and Jasmine insists on Survivor by Destiny’s Child.

Also, do yourself a favour and watch THIS. It’s Will Ferrell and Andy Samberg.
