There are few noises more glorious than the ping your phone makes as your pay gets deposited into your account. Goodbye living moderately, hello big spender.
Now imagine how big your toothy white grin would be if you were paid an extra half a million. Cue wild dancing in the streets, we’re not going to judge you.
A worker in the Free State is fighting a battle in court to keep the money mistakenly paid to him. This from IOL:
Michael Mochudi, managing director of Motsi Civils and Plant Hire in Welkom, said he meant to pay R5 687.61 into Kathu worker Phemelo Mothupi’s Capitec account, but omitted a comma by mistake.
Just a little comma and all this fuss. Mothupi is refusing to return the money and has transferred R400 000 to his wife’s account. She has already placed R260 000 of it into an investment account.
I’m no banking sleuth but I would imagine this is one paper trail that is relatively easy to follow. I wish you luck Mr Mothupi, and if they do make you pay back the money let it be a lesson to all South Africans. Yeah, JZ, that’s a dig at you.
Should you stumble on a more legal windfall and want to invest it wisely you need look no further than Consequence Private Wealth. They can make sure everything is above board and help you lead a life of leisure and luxury. Go on with your bad self.
