Happy Monday! Here’s a Kardashian-Jenner story to start off your week with a bang, because we all know how you love some gossip in and around your face.
Yes folks, Bruce (soon to be Brucina?) Jenner was involved in a fatal four-car accident on Saturday whilst driving along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. The woman who died, 69-year-old Kim Howe, is apparently a neighbour of the Kardashian clan.
Bruce has come under paparazzi scrutiny of late for his increasingly feminine look, and was apparently being followed at the time of the accident. The Daily Mail quoted Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lt. John Lecrivain here:
There was a possibility that paparazzi was following him at the time of the crash, but that is a very regular occurrence, and (there is) no indication at this time it was a contributing factor of the crash.
Another media outlet, the ever-reliable TMZ, has a different take on things:
Jenner family sources tell TMZ Bruce was being chased by as many as 5 paparazzi at the time of the crash.
Eyewitnesses say Bruce rear ended the white car and that car went into oncoming traffic and was struck by the Hummer…The woman driving the white car died.
Bruce best hope he wasn’t texting at the time of the accident as the Los Angeles PD is set to do a little digging. This from the LA Times:
…detectives and traffic investigators will examine the phone records as they try to piece together what happened.
Sgt. Phil Brooks said Sunday that a photo taken before the collision shows Bruce Jenner holding a cellphone, but it’s unclear exactly when the photo was taken.
Jenner passed a field-sobriety test at the scene of the accident in addition to having blood drawn so driving under the influence has been ruled out.
Unfortunately we are set to hear much more on this matter in the coming days, I am sure. Hey, at least you only have to read about it.
