Whilst the rumour train rides on full steam ahead regarding the De Zalze van Breda murders, the three slain family members have been laid to rest in Pretoria.
Henri, the surviving son who is at the centre of the speculation, did fly to Pretoria and attend the funeral amidst claims he might be a no-show. His uncle, Andre van Breda, spoke to the media as quoted in TimesLive:
Henri was here but couldn’t face the media,” said Andre. “No matter what, we will [support him]. We are his back-up. We will not abandon Henri.
He also spoke of the fantastic progress made by Marli:
What the doctors and nurses have done is a miracle. What is happening there is part of God’s work. Her movements are getting better. She can communicate with her eyes, by blinking.
Those seeking answers will be keeping a close eye on Marli’s recovery as she may hold the key to finding out what really went down at the upmarket estate.
