Pantone swatches are great. I have had a small obsession with them (I don’t know why) since I was little. Looks like I am not the only one, which makes me slightly less worried about the drawer full I have back at home.
Nick Smith did a good job with his collection of Pantone swatches. To be honest, it is definitely more than I’ll ever do with mine.
What has he done?
Smith used these swatches to produce impressive pixelated recreations of paintings made by legendary artists, such as Vincent van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci and Andy Warhol.
How great are those? They’re easier to make out from far away, or if you make them thumbnail size.
Pretty cool, huh?
If you’re in London, pop to the Lawrence Alkin Gallery to see all of Nick’s work (until 21 February).
