US Sports Illustrated Features Plus-Size Model For The First Time

Hurrah for the US Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue and lovers of the fuller female figure out there.

For the first time in the magazine’s history they will feature a ‘plus-sized model’. I am always wary of this term being used in the modelling industry, as all too often the model in question is still semi-skeletal and has been surviving on a diet of Tic Tacs and cocaine for the past six months. This time, though, the model does have ativan some meat on her bones.

Ashley Graham will show off her curves when the magazine hits shelves February 9, with USA Today quoting her as follows:

I know my curves are sexy and I want everyone to know that theirs are too. This is no reason to hide and every reason to flaunt. The world is ready for more curves in bikinis.
