It takes a lot to shock us these days. When it comes to those ISIS folk we have learnt to expect the worst. This, though, is next level horrific.
Usually when I hear Piers Morgan open his mouth (or send out a tweet) my first thought is how good it would feel to dislodge some teeth from his mouth with my knuckles, but this time he talks a bit of sense. You see, ISIS’s latest video shows a Jordanian pilot being burnt alive in a cage. Over to you, Piers, writing for the Daily Mail:
I watched those murderous bastards light up a trail of petrol into a small cage, I watched as Lieutenant Moaz al-Kasabeh caught fire, and I watched as he screamed in horror and burned to death.
It was just as repulsive and sickening as I feared it would be. Truly the worst thing I have ever had to witness, and as a journalist for 30 years I’ve seen a lot of unpleasant things.
In response Jordan has executed two ISIS-linked prisoners, seemingly fighting fire with fire. This from NBC News:
…the executions of Sajida al-Rishawi, an Iraqi woman whom ISIS had demanded be released, and Zyad al-Karbouli, an Iraqi Islamist who also had previously been sentenced to death, took place only a few hours after Jordanian King Abdullah met in Washington with President Barack Obama.
If you really wish to see the video, there will no doubt be a few copies flying around the interweb. The video is called ‘Healing the Believers’ Chests’.

OK I’m off to watch some YouTube videos of random acts of kindness in what will be a futile attempt to restore my faith in humanity.
