There are few longer waits in the world than the time between ordering a pizza when ravenous and delivery of said pizza. It doesn’t matter how quickly it arrives, the clock seems to tick slower with each growing rumble of the belly.
A big shout out to these cops in Chicago then, who were kind enough to deliver a pizza to a citizen in need after they arrested the delivery guy. The pizza pilot had raised suspicion and a search of his vehicle revealed some bongs and other drug paraphernalia. This from People:
Seeing that the large pizza sitting in the passenger seat had no means of reaching its destination, an officer delivered the pizza to the specified address on the receipt attached.
I think the most surprising part of the story is the fact that the officers weren’t tempted to take the pizza as evidence. I’m sure a thorough inspection would have taken place back at the station.
If you prefer your pizza delivered promptly and without arrest look no further than Butler’s. Not only are they dressed to impress but, even if Eskom decides to pull the plug on your area’s power, they will still be running at full throttle. Good thing someone had the foresight to snap up a few generators and install gas ovens, because we get very cranky when we’re hungry.
