There has been a general shroud of mystery surrounding the details of the shooting that took place at the Orange Street Engen on Saturday afternoon. We covered the shooting HERE, as well as showing a video of David Forbes (the shooter) moments after the shooting HERE.
Now it has come out in the Cape Town Magistrates Court that the murdered man, 23-year-old Toefeeq Joseph, was himself out on bail on a murder charge. Not only that, but four knives were found in his car, one of which had blood on it.
Forbes is now claiming self-defence, telling the court he had a 14 centimetre cut on his arm.
Yeah, we can only wait now to see what else emerges in court. It’s getting spicy.
