Parents. They are wonderful things. They bathe you, feed you, clothe you, educate you. They send you off to uni in another city and stop caring about you. But the moment you are back home for a holiday, they sit up at night worrying about your safe return. When they visit you, they rock up with food and cleaning supplies and toothpaste. I don’t know why they do it, but you know it is true and you know it has happened to you.
Here’s one of the finest examples I have ever seen. She is a great Jewish mum, who hauled the entire family across the USA (from LA to NYC) because her favourite daughter wanted to move. Poor Kate Siegel. There is no escape for her. She even started an Instagram account called CrazyJewishMom to show her wonderful Jewish mum to the world.
As I said, she has an Instagram account, so if you want to laugh a bit more you can go there.
Check out Metro for Kate’s great explanation of her mum.
