By now you may have heard about Juju and the case of the Golf GTi. Yeah, the one that was bought for R377 500 using EFF funds, but is not registered as belonging to the party.
Members are unhappy with the fact that the car in question is registered as belonging to Voorsprong Trading and Projects. Digging a little deeper has revealed that the company’s previous director was in fact Malema’s cousin, with the registered address being the home in Sandton where Malema and his wife live whilst in Joburg. Hmmm…
CityPress did a great job of following the paper trail and sought to reach the relevant parties to clear things up. This went as follows:
When City Press contacted Matlebyane, he confirmed he was the [current] director of Voorsprong and the Golf was “his car”. When asked why the car had been bought using EFF funds, Matlebyane hung up and failed to answer subsequent calls.
Tebatso Malema denied any relationship with Julius Malema and said: “Anyone who says I’m Julius’ anything is full of sh*t.” When asked about the Golf GTI, he also hung up and failed to respond to messages.
Why is everyone freaking out about Malema using party money to buy a car – I’d assume that was standard?
The biggest shock for is that he paid almost R400 000 for that car. Come now Julius, if you want to live the good life why not spend other peoples’ money wisely and get the new MINI 5-Door for just R4 499 a month with ZERO deposit? He obviously didn’t know about the 2oceansvibe special deal – see below.
Heck, at that price Julius could probably wangle ol’ Floyd one as well. Those guys, peas in a pod ya know?!
Email editor@2oceansvibe.com with the subject ‘HOT DAMN, I need that MINI 5 door’ and we will plug you in directly to MINI, to ensure you get this special deal. Ts & Cs apply..
