I suppose there is no textbook reaction to shooting and killing a man. I have no idea how I might react, but I’d like to think I wouldn’t calmly knock back a Coke and suck on an entjie.
After a shooting at the popular Orange Street Engen in Gardens, where a 48-year-old shot dead a man with whom he had been arguing, onlookers were horrified to see the shooter seem nonplussed after pulling the trigger. This from iol:
He was completely calm. He smoked a cigarette and drank a Coke while he waited on the police. It was very strange to see a man so in control after he just shot and killed someone.
Whilst police haven’t confirmed the exact motive of the murder it is being reported that the argument was regarding the sale of tickets for a popular music festival. A friend of the murdered Moegamat Toufiq Joseph spoke to iol:
Joseph’s friend, who spoke on condition of anonymity as he feared for his life, confirmed that Joseph was selling festival tickets. “He sold them for the normal price and to some friends he sold them cheaper”…
The friend was also aware of allegations that a man related to the production of a festival was arrested for the shooting, but was unsure of the details.
We are sure there will be more information coming to light in the next few days. For now folks, remember to not piss off disgruntled middle-aged festival promoters, they don’t seem to handle it all particularly well.
