Eish, this whole jewellery store robbery spree is really getting out of hand. A few Sundays back we brought you THIS story of the heist that went down in Tokai. Our follow up also revealed that the SA Police hadn’t exactly covered themselves in glory regarding the robbery (read that HERE).
Today brings yet another incident, this time in Camps Bay. This from EWN:
Police say two men entered the store just after 10 am. It’s not yet clear how much jewellery was taken. They fled the scene in a white BMW. The vehicle was reported stolen in Kirstenhof earlier this month.
It seems nowhere in Cape Town is safe with jewellery stores in Hout Bay, Somerset West, Tokai and Franschoek all having been hit in the past few months.
If I was a jewellery store owner I would be tempted to beef up my security somewhat. Maybe not this guy though, he looks like he might be something of a softy.
You may have noticed that the above pic is taken off the 2oceansvibe Instagram page, which is full of such gems. Go on, give us a follow HERE
