We’ve brought you a few stories recently about how Pope Francis is tearing up the Catholic Church rulebook. OK, yanking out a page here and there, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. You can read those stories HERE and HERE.

Yeah, he’s not afraid of going where no pope has gone before. Let’s brush up on some of his recent pearlers, taken from CNN:

Catholic parents shouldn’t be ‘rabbits’ – “Some think that, excuse me if I use that word, that in order to be good Catholics we have to be like rabbits. No. Responsible parenthood.”

‘Who am I to judge’ gay priests? – “If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?”

All atheists go to heaven? – To those who say: ” ‘But I don’t believe, Father, I am an atheist!’ ” the pope said, “But do good: We will meet one another there.”

It makes a nice change from many of the past popes, who have been mouthpieces for century-old decrees that seem somewhat outdated in this day and age. Keep them coming Poppa Popeman, your street cred is off the hizzle son.
