Pope Francis touched down in the Philippines on Thursday, and has proven rather popular in the country where 80 million of the 100 million population are followers of the Catholic Church.
His Sunday mass, which took place in Manila’s Rizal Park, reportedly attracted six million worshippers despite the crummy weather conditions. The pictures below are taken from the Daily Mail.
I imagine the hysteria was almost on a par with the average One Direction concert, where thousands of teenagers scream and wail and claim to be healed by a single touch from Harry Styles.
