The internet is full of weird and wonderful things. That’s right, there’s more out there than just porn, cute cats and 2oceansvibe.
It is also home to plenty of much sought-after information, and now you can enlist the help of a professional hacker to help you get your mittens on it. A new website has surfaced called ‘Hacker’s List’, which connects customers to professional hackers and follows an eBay style bidding process for each job.
There are plenty of uses for your own personal hacker of course. This from Mashable:
If someone suspects a spouse is cheating, a user could post an anonymous listing on Hacker’s List, name a price and the right person could gain access to a significant other’s social media accounts.
Quite how this business can be legal is beyond me, although when the owners of the site refuse to go public doubting its legality is not unwarranted.
The founders of the website are still too afraid to go public…The report said the founders were advised by legal counsel about how to structure the website to avoid liability for any wrongdoing by people either seeking to hire a hacker or by hackers agreeing to do a job. The site is registered in New Zealand.
Other postings on the site seek services such as tampering with academic grades, hacking an iPhone and getting rid of defamatory blog posts.
Of course those suspecting their partners of infidelity could always go the tried and trusted route of prying them with alcohol and trading sexual favours for passwords. It may prove more cost-efficient than the above prices, and is certainly less illegal.
