Yeah, you once drove your car back from Jozi to the Mother City in less than 10 hours. We don’t blame you, the best view of Egoli is out the back window. But riddle me this, has your car ever been to space and back?
It’s true, the sky is no longer the limit with MINI’s latest feat of engineering excellence. Their new baby, the MINI 5-Door, recently reached heights previously reserved for Neil Armstrong and his giant leaps when it was launched into space.
MINI, which prides itself on creative design, innovative use of technology and an irrepressible sense of fun is running a competition in conjunction with the launch. It’s pretty simple really. Head to Mini To Space, select where you think the car touched down on terra firma and you can drive the new MINI 5-Door for five months. The competition ends January 30 so make sure you get your pick in.
The latest model comes in packing a bunch, offering 278 litres of boot spaces as well as extra headroom and legroom. The new MINI 5 Door is currently available with a choice of two petrol engines, the 3-cylinder Cooper and 4-cylinder Cooper S engine.
Cue images of zooming over those pesky traffic jams in your flying automobile, your hair blowing in the wind as people gaze at you longingly. Feel free to flip them the bird, we know we would.
