The low-cost Austrian airline FlyNiki has gone and launched a flight between two cities that are only 48km apart: Vienna and Bratislava in Slovakia. How long does it take? TEN minutes…
I just want to take this moment to remind you of the movie Eurotrip, when they arrive in Bratislava…
But back to the airline… If you work it out it’s probably just under an hours drive between the two cities, or a two day hike, and if you go via train it’s even faster. Which begs the question of why they would include this flight route. Once you have taken into consideration arriving at the airport early, queues, dealing with screaming babies and not even getting a drink on the flight, is it even worth it?
NO. It is not.
Frankly, if you have the choice (which I am going to give you in a second), there is no reason you should ever fly commercial again, especially if it’s an internal flight. You should be getting your team together and flying private. You can do that with GetJet, by the way. No babies (unless it’s your adorable little one in which case you love the sound of their voice) and you can probably sip-sip on your own bottle of Pierre Jourdan.
