Whether or not you find Charlie Hebdo provocative, satirical or just downright offensive, you have to admit they have mighty big cojones.

In what is concrete proof that getting to work late can be beneficial, Renald Luzier, having celebrated his birthday the morning of January 7, arrived at the publication’s offices after the two gunmen had run amok and murdered 12 people.

Now, to honour his fallen comrades, Luzier (who goes by the pen name ‘Luz’) has put pencil to paper and drawn Charlie’s latest cover. This from the Washington Post:

Pictured is a caricature confirmed by French media to be the Islamic prophet Muhammad, shedding a tear and holding a sign that — invoking the global rallying cry — reads: “Je suis Charlie” (beneath the words “Tout est pardonne,” or all is forgiven).

In this case it seems that the pencil may really be mightier than the sword.
