We knew it would come out sooner or later. The people who commit crimes such as the ones we have just seen in France are usually the kind that like to leave a little video diary, just so we can follow their ‘thought process’.
Not content with hogging the headlines for his kindapping and murder escapades, Paris gunman Amedy Coulibaly left us a six-minute video, detailing his allegiance to the Islamic State and the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. You may recognise that name from Charlie Hebdo’s last tweet, sent out just hours before the attack took place, which ridiculed both al-Baghdadi and ISIS.
Coulibaly, the man responsible for shooting dead a Parisian policewoman as well as four of the hostages he took during an attack on a kosher grocery store, was killed in the shootout that ensued when police stormed the grocery store.
You can read more about Coulibaly in The Guardian, or watch the video up top for your daily dose of religious extremism.
