LATEST NEWS FROM THE TELEGRAPH:
An armed man has apparently taken a hostage in a kosher grocery in eastern Paris. Reports that one person wounded. It is thought that it is the gunman who shot dead a policewoman yesterday morning.
Another quote from the Telegraph:
…it is thought this is the same man who killed a policewoman yesterday – and who is an associate of the Kouachi brothers, from the same 19th arrondissement jihadi group.
The above is a separate incident from the suspects of the Charlie Hebdo shooting, with the latest on that below.
Sky News is reporting that the suspects have been cornered in an industrial building, after a car chase which may have seen as many as 20 people injured and two killed. The news outlet has reported the following:
[There was] a car chase on the N2 motorway in which gunshots were fired between the men and police as their stolen car headed towards Paris.
Three helicopters are now hovering over the building in Dammartin-en-Goele near the country’s busiest airport.

The Telegraph has stated that the suspects have told negotiators that they wish to die as martyrs, which could mean it gets worse before it gets better.
A salesperson in the area has, however, claimed that he was in the building when the suspects came in and shook the hand of one of the terrorists.
He said the black-clad man who was wearing a bullet-proof vest and carrying what looked like a Kalashnikov rifle told him: “‘Leave, we don’t kill civilians anyhow’. That really struck me, so I decided to call the police. I guess it was one of the terrorists.”
They are also running a story that says the head of the British intelligence agency MI5 has information pointing towards the plotting of a similar attack on UK soil. Read it here.
The Mirror reports that flights have been diverted from the nearby Charles de Gaulle Airport, as it is feared the suspects have a rocket propelled grenade which could threaten passenger jets in the air. It is also believed that the suspects have one hostage with them in the industrial complex.
For up-to-the-minute reports CNN has the latest, including this below:
French police have surrounded an area where they believe the suspects in the Charlie Hebdo attack are located, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve told CNN…the area is Dammartin-en-Goële, northeast of Paris.
