It is fair to say that selfie sticks have been met with a mixed reaction.

Some have heralded it as the single-greatest invention of the 21st century. These people also download One Direction albums.

Others have been somewhat sceptical, with this tweet nailing it on the head.

Whatever your take on these arm-extenders are, I think we must acknowledge that what follows is simply not good enough. This man has let himself and the human race down.
