Marvel aren’t afraid of a superhero movie of late. Some have worked, some have not. Think Spiderman with Tobey Maguire. Then think Spiderman with that other guy too. Yeah, those ones.

Well the first trailer for the Ant-Man film starring, Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas is out, with the following description from IMDB:

Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang [Rudd] must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym [Douglas], protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

The movie is due for release in the UK mid-July, which means if they immediately dispatch us a copy down south the SA Post Office should deliver it some time before the apocalypse. I’m just delighted to hear that his superhero powers aren’t derived from an ant bite, which would have been a real deal breaker.
