As the scrutiny and speculation around Prince Andrew grows, and Buckingham Palace continue to deny any and all allegations of sexual misconduct, the under-fire royal has found vocal support from what seems a rather unlikely source: his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.
Speaking from a luxury ski chalet in Switzerland, the Duchess had only gushing praise for her former hubby, as quoted in the Daily Mail:
He is the greatest man there is. It was the finest moment of my life in 1986 when I married him. He is a great man, the best man in the world.
Nice to see them royals are prone to a bit of hyperbole now and again. The question then, of course, is if he is so lovely why did they get divorced just six years later?
The Duchess also conveniently omitted to mention a £15 000 loan she received from a certain Jeffrey Epstein, whose name you might recognise as the man accused of ‘procuring’ the services of the under-age Virginia Roberts for Prince Andrew. The Daily Mail has the full scoop on that here.
Yes folks, the rabbit hole may be deep with this one. Whether we will ever know the full truth about the sordid goings on of the Royal family remains to be seen. In the meantime we can watch it all play out like an episode of Downton Abbey, with slightly more inbred characters of course.
