Hurrah! Everyone’s favourite upper crust British comedian / writer/ television personality / all-round likeable chap is set to wed his partner Elliot Spencer after giving notice at a register office.
Whilst it is reported that they only began dating last year, Fry is said to be smitten, with a source telling the Mirror:
Stephen and Elliot get on brilliantly together. It’s fantastic to see Stephen with a smile on his face again.
He has been very, very open about his battles with drugs and depression.
Elliot seems to have given him the confidence to live his life again. It’s great to have the old Stephen back.
Fry has a well-documented history of depression so here’s hoping he finds much happiness with his new partner, who by the way is a mere 30 years his junior. He should keep dear Stephen on his toes then.
