When you’re finished with your craft beer and skateboard and tweed jacket wearing hipster, where does one your average sophisticado go in Tamboerskloof? Well look at this..
I was farting around Groupon this morning and saw this deal in Tamboerskloof. I genuinely thought there was a mistake, as I didn’t recognise the place. Turns out it’s inside the Cape Milner hotel – 2A Milner Road, Tamboerskloof.

Inspired by 1920s Speakeasy Prohibition era, The Glass Lounge is Cape Town’s newest place to be seen. A cocktail and tapas venue at the Cape Milner, the lounge lives up to its name – with a glass roof and walls that are more window than brick, saying that the venue is filled with natural light would be an understatement: you can see the mountain through the roof.
Offering a varied selection of signature cocktails from Cosmopolitans to Classic Daiquiris and tasty tapas dishes, including seared salmon sashimi and West Coast mussels, the menu consists mostly of finger foods.
Decked out with plush couches in shades of grey and blue, as well as white leather couches all around the perimeter, Glass Lounge perfectly combines vintage and modern styles, with splashes of Art Deco influences.
