Just to back track a few days – last week Sony Pictures was cyber-attacked in a big way, with “unreleased films made available on the internet” (there’s a remake of Annie coming soon!).
There’s a chance it was North Korea who orchestrated the hack, as Sony is about to release their film about Kim Jong-un. The movie stars James Franco and Seth Rogen, so it’s pretty obvious that there is some comedy involved.
In June, North Korea asked the UN and the US to not release the film, calling it an “undisguised sponsoring of terrorism” and an “act of war”.
When asked if it was involved in the attack a spokesman for the North Korean government replied: “Wait and see.”
It’s not clear what everyone must wait for, or what they will see, but it should cause further tensions between the US and North Korea.
