Remember that first day of the trial when Shrien was all “I’m bisexual”? No one saw that coming, especially not Anni’s parents, Vinod and Nilam Hindocha.
Speaking for the first time, the couple have said how they plan to sue Shrien, mostly to compensate for the costs of the £200 000 wedding that Mr Hindocha paid for. They have said explicitly that they would not be suing him for financial gain, but rather for “the loss of my daughter who left this world for nothing”.
If I knew Shrien was gay or bisexual I would never have allowed Anni to get married.
The trial is currently on hold until December 8th, so that the judge can decide “whether to continue the trial or allow Dewani to walk free without having to take the witness stand”.
