Anyone involved in the Cape Town’s high-season luxury accommodation sector will be well aware of the competition involved between wealthy visitors, when it comes to their chosen holiday rental property..
The R10,000 – R25,000 a day bracket might sound expensive to you and me (note to self-proclaimed ‘grammar nazis’ – it’s not you and I in this case) but that price bracket is very much the norm for your average doing-quite-well-for-himself Pom.
But then you have Enigma mansion in Camps Bay, which is commanding a R346,500 for one week between 15 December and 15 January. That’s a mere R49,500 a day and the rental price includes utility costs, airport transfers and a staff compliment of 5 (including Estate Manager).
It will be interesting to see who snaps this up, given that they’re used to the likes of royal families and A-list performers.
They will surely shut down any competition during dinner time chit-chat over season time on the Radlantic Seaboard.
