Australia Mourns As Phil Hughes Hashtag Campaign Goes Viral

Well this should make you cry… Everyone in Australia is putting their cricket bat outside the front door of their home in memory of Phil Hughes.

It’s really something special (and I am sure we would love to do that here in SA except that a) our walls are so high you wouldn’t actually see the bat and b) if you don’t have a wall the bat would get stolen) and Aussies and the world of cricket are taking to social media with the hashtag #PutOutYourBats.

The campaign has reached as far as the UK and the US, and even New Zealand rival teams are doing it.

Good work, humans.
